Got this chair because the reviews seemed pretty okay for its price. I wasnt disappointed. Its not perfect but I guess you get what you pay for. Its very comfortable and offers plenty of back and neck support, can stay sitting on my PC for several hours without any problems. The only issues are the pillows get out of place easily so you have to constantly adjust them, as well as the armrests feel a little too cheap and also feel loose, but other than that its good. Looks really nice too.
The chair is comfortable to sit in all day. However upon arrival it had a tear in the leather on the bottom of the chair. Also, I had a couple wrong bolts. These issues were minor so I didnt contact customer service or return it. Its sturdy and seems good so far.
Ok good for temporary but after about a year or so Ive got cracks in the chair (LADIES! GIRL GAMERS ! LISTEN UP) Idk if its because my ass is getting getting fat or what But just warning you
GAMING CHAIR - COMPUTER CHAIR - RACING STYLE HIGH-BACK OFFICE CHAIR
MODEL: COLOR: BLACK/WHITE
HIGH QUALITY OFFICE/GAMING CHAIR – JUST TRY IT
BACKGROUND
I agonized for months over this choice. I have tried many chairs over the past 30 years, and I never found one I liked for the price. Ive owned chairs from big box office supply stores, warehouse clubs, flat pack furniture stores. I have owned used hand-me-down office chairs. They all have let me down one way or the other. Mostly they were just plain uncomfortable for a long day of work/computer stuff, or they were just poorly made and fell apart quickly. ME: 58 - 190lbs, work at the computer about 10 hours / day, then 1-3 hours of personal time in front of the computer. Somewhat bad back.
THE CHAIR IMPRESSIONS / SETUP
The GAMING/COMPUTER CHAIR HIGH-BACK came well packaged. There was a slight puncture in the box, but fortunately everything was well protected on the inside. The chair body and mechanics seem extremely well made. For example, the screws are very heavy duty, the best I have seen in ready to assemble furniture. The screws were already pre-threaded in the slots where they belong, taking the guesswork out of what size and where they go. The fabric is tightly stitched without errors or mistakes. The instructions were some of the best Ive seen. There are few minor errors in the instructions. For example, they changed some of the screws from Phillips to Allen. (not a big deal). But the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Ive assembled probably over 100 chairs, and the GAMING/COMPUTER CHAIR HIGH-BACK has the best instructions and build quality Ive experienced. In terms of assembly, I am a chronic over-tightener, and the chambers where the screws are received took everything I gave them, as far as tightening. Whereas on some other chairs, I have broken the chair by over-tightening (I hate squeaks and wobbles). On lesser brands it was really easy to strip the allen screw heads or the provided tool. But the GAMING/COMPUTER CHAIR HIGH-BACK had none of these problems.
Only 2 very minor complaints, and I saw some of these in other reviews so I knew what I was getting into. The armrests are the weak link. There is no padding of any sort on the armrest. The armrests are very wobbly on the post. They are sturdy, dont get me wrong. I dont think they will break or anything. I just dont like the wobbly side-to-side motion. The other part that feels cheap is the gear covers that protect you when you recline. They are only held on by one small screw. I do think these gear covers will eventually break or strip their threads. I also think the simple gears could be dangerous if you are not careful.
COMFORT
It is not a recliner, it is an office/gaming chair. Day 1, it is very firm, but not hard. The lumbar support and neck rest are also very firm. So far it is comfortable enough (4 hours of use) and provides good support. I will update the review in a few days / weeks as it breaks in.
LOOKS
It is a stylish chair, and overall I like the way it looks. After checking my image in my webcam, I think I should gone for all back, as the white and black make it looks more like a gaming chair. My wife calls it the star wars chair.
SUMMARY / CONCLUSION / RECOMMENDATION
I am very optimistic that the GAMING/COMPUTER CHAIR HIGH-BACK will work well for long days in front of the computer. It is very well built and seems to be of high quality. I think it is well priced and maybe even worth a little more.
Update + 1 Week (14 Jan 2022)
After a week of daily use, I still like it overall. A few tiny minor things. If you recline, the armrests obviously dont recline or slide back with you. The lumbar support wont stay in place. I need the lumbar support about 5 inches off the seat, but because it is held on by straps, you have to re-adjust it every time you sit down (otherwise it slides down). While there is no padding on the armrest, they are made from a softer plastic material, so they are comfortable enough. There are decorative inserts in the chair legs that are color matched to the chair. It is easy to knock them off with your feet. The re-attach easily, but Ill probably glue them in, since there is no reason to every take them off. Overall, Im still happy with the chair and the price paid.
Update 1/17/2022
Im going to try to return it, but it does not look like free returns are included.
The wings on the edge seat are digging into my thighs and are very painful. I dont see anyway to fix this. There is not much padding at the edges. I am only 190 lbs and not that heavy, but either I get bruises on my thighs or my boys get squashed. Either way it is not comfortable.
I do home health care, about 50% of my working hours are sitting and charting charting charting. So for 8 years now Ive just plopped into a standard wooden dining chair, sat at our dining table, and worked. I didnt realize how frequently i was having to get up and walk away from work bc I was so uncomfortable. then it hit me - WHY???? have i been uncomfortable for 8 YEARS?? pulled the trigger on this gaming chair at my friends advice and IM IN LOVE. what a difference. every feature seems to be fully adjustable and the seat pad is supportive, not cushy. my favorite part is the ability to recline the back just a notch and use the cervical support pad for my head/neck. GAME CHANGER. and i dont even play video games lol.....
