When pur daughters bed got broken in our recent move, we started looking for a replacement. Because of the pandemic, were doing virtual learning, which so far has been done at my own personal desk. After getting fed up with my childs clutter, we went on a search for a sturdy bed with a learning space. We considered many, many, many, MANY loft beds, bed and desk combos, etc.
There were several reasons why we settled on this one. While the price of this bed, plus the cost of shipping was more than we were looking to spend, we were drawn in by the quality of the craftsmanship, the sturdiness of the repurposed wood, and the beautiful white color.
But what really solidified our decision was the company who made this nnnk products commitment to customers service. Almost all, if not all the Q and As have been answered by the manufacturer themselves.
Now this bed is no small feat to assemble. It took us quute a few hours to complete, but the end result is fantastic!
The only complaint that I have is regarding the ladder. We managed to get both bolts on one side secure, but only 1 bolt on the other. We discovered that no matter how much we shifted, adjusted, or tried, the holes in the ladder, and the support beam wouldnt add up. (See picture). So we bolted the top bolt and told our daughter to be careful. Its sturdy and doesnt wiggle.
I saw some comments about the udnderside not being white to match. I included a picture for those who want a reference. We dont personally care.
The one drawback for me that I find mildly annoying is the smell that lingers heavy. Its been 3 or 4 days and it still hasnt fully gone away even with airing out the room a little. (Its winter, and we live where theres snow, so I dont feel comfortable leaving a window open long term right now in my daughters room.) Its not a bad smell. Its just strong. Its of fresh cut wood and paint.
All in all we feel we got our moneys worth. My daughter loves it. We love it. And I get my desk back!!
The bed is sturdy for my 12 year old daughter, she weighs about 90 lbs. I wouldnt buy this for a kid over 140 pounds, not because of the bed but because the ladder rungs arent the thickest.
Its a space save and turned a small bedroom into a much more useable space for my daughter as now her desk and vanity are both under her bed.
Assembly is pretty easy, remember to not over tighten the bolts will sink into the wood if your not careful. As time passes I can tell that the bed will need to be re-tightened as does most furniture.
All in all good buy especially for the price and it shipped fast and was received within a week. I cancelled an order for her bedroom set that was on back order for four months with a furniture store and got a much better value.
We used this with a crib underneath first, and have graduated to a big bed. It fits a queen mattress underneath perfectly! Our boys absolutely love it. It looks great and is so far very sturdy. Highly recommend!
Our 9 yr old is thrilled with this full size low loft bed! Its sturdy and gives her so much extra space in there bedroom!
Only complaint is that it didnt come with instructions in the box. Were pretty mechanically inclined so it was easy, but if we werent experienced- I think it would have been difficult.
So far it seems sturdy and well made
This loft bed is surprisingly excellent quality and very well made. The pieces all fit together nicely and are sturdy. My daughter is thrilled with this. Also, the customer service is excellent - I had a minor question and they got back to me very rapidly in a kind way too.
We got this bed for our 9 year old daughter for Christmas and it was perfect! She absolutely loves it. Great wood quality, easy instructions to follow, and very sturdy. We have searched around for multiple loft beds and came across this one and loved the look and the option to add a desk. The price was also great. Our daughter is happy so we are very happy with this purchase.
Assembled with my dad. Took us about 2.5 hours. Over all things went smoothly. Securing the slates was the biggest challenge. So far my daughter loves it. Het room is small so this is a true space saver for us. Its sturdy and likely to last for quite a while. Will need to protect wood as a rabbit will be living in the open space.
I have a smallish room which makes storage a bit of an issue. I also have a low ceiling, which ruled out a loft-style bed, though that would otherwise have been the ideal solution.
This bed was the perfect compromise, being tall enough for real storage underneath yet not so tall that I cant sit up in the bed above.
My only issue was that the rails are meant to completely surround the bed, making it safe for children, obviously.
Not being a child that sort of security wasnt high on my list of requirements, but I DID need a bed that was easy to get out of in the morning.
As it happened, the railing doesnt have to be installed in the front- the frame is well-enough constructed that the railing isnt integral to the structure. As such, I left off the front pieces of the railing, giving me an open side that I can swing my legs over to drop out of bed in the morning.
The only problem with that solution was the ladder- one side of the ladder mounted to the corner post, great so far, but the other side mounted to the side of the bed and was as tall as the height of the now non-existent railing, making it a serious threat to my well-being as I climbed out of bed; I now had a single piece of wood sticking up alongside my bed for my legs to catch on as I swung them over the side. Not good.
Fortunately, some quick work with a hacksaw (not nearly as scary or ugly as it may sound) and I had cut that side of the ladder down to the level of the frame, not interfering with its stability in the least.
If I want to finish the job right Ill go find myself some coffee-colored wood stain to put on the part I cut away so it matches the rest of the bed, but otherwise I am very happy with both the bed and the solution I found for my particular issue.
I mention this in particular because I wasnt completely certain when I ordered the bed that I could leave off the railings if necessary, but it turns out you can, indeed.
It will be OK, but several of the pre-drilled holes split when you screw into the rails. Either the holes are too small or off-center. I would hear wood crack, stop, back the screw out, drill the hole slightly wider, and then re-screw. Had to do it about 5 times so the joints could be pulled tight without it breaking. The splintering at those joints is visible. That, plus 6 missing screws, made assembly obnoxious.
Overall we are pretty satisfied with this bed for our 8 year old. We previously had a twin over full bunk bed with stairs that was incredible sturdy so this one is a bit more wobbly. The ladder steps are definitely only for children-some steps are only held with pegs and not screws as well. The hardest part was the instructions. The majority of the hardware is not labeled so it took extra time figuring everything out. Myself and my boyfriend built this in less than 2 hours. I didnt care for the desk option on this piece so I purchased a different desk to fit under there. The shelves hold all of her scrap booking supplies and a few toys nicely. The shelves are very sturdy.

Sturdy in the end, but was missing hardware and had splintering joints
