The design changed and it is now a poorer (but more expensive!) Product.
I purchased 6 of these chairs a year ago for my kitchen table. Though it was time consuming to put them together with only the included Allen wrench, I managed to do so and loved the chairs. The seats had a bit of bounce to them from the springs in the seat cushions and I was pleased with my purchase. This year we bought a new house and new dining room table and I found myself in need of 8 more chairs. The new chairs are now $53 more than I previously paid (Id kept these on a list for 6 months while my table was being built waiting for the price to go back down, and it never did). These chairs no longer have springs in the seats, so they feel tough and rigid to sit on with no bounce or give, which makes them rather uncomfortable. Putting them together, this time with the help of others, was much more difficult than the first time as well. At least one of the chairs had misaligned holes due to the pegs that are included with the intention of aligning the holes. Due to this, it was impossible to get the screws in, and the screws ended up stripped as we worked and worked to figure out what was wrong with the chairs. It was an exercise in frustration and disappointment and I would no longer recommended this product to anyone else.
