I love my tv stand! It's sturdy and looks very nice without being too heavy. I love the open shelf and the glass doors for extra storage (excellent for keeping the cat from climbing into them). We could have set this up just with two young females, but because we had friends over, we all chipped in and it probably took about an hour and half from unboxing to completion.
The screws on the back for the fireplace are almost impossible to get in there, so we only did one on each side of the top and it's been fine so far (three months since setup). We had one weird wooden peg, but they sent extras so it was fine.
